Remember Mother’s Day with Childrens Drawings

In February I was creating a birthday card for my lovely daughter-in-law. She had recently shared a picture of herself as a toddler. And I happened to have a picture of some of my 6 year old granddaughters artwork. (YES! This is key you might want to start snapping pics of artwork created by your favorite kids too!). One of the drawings my Grand had done was a portrait of her Mom. So I grabbed both of these pictures to create a unique birthday card for my daughter-in-law. Heres what I did:

That was the front of the card. This is what the inside looked like:

(by the way its a 5 x 7 greeting card so you might need to imagine it scaled up in size a bit)

Anyway today I was thinking about Mothers Day coming up in May and it dawned on me that you might want to consider creating some fun and unique cards to celebrate the special Moms in your life. And being a Mom and Grandma I can tell you that a card featuring my kids artwork or handwriting touches like nothing else and instantly becomes a keeper. :)

Imagine a collage of images all drawn by your kids on the front of the card with a big I LOVE YOU written in your childs handwriting when she opens it up.

Or maybe a special picture of Grandma and grandchild when they were last together.

You can go elegant or whimsical whatever comes from the heart in the moment.

Heres the thing though I dont know of a better place to do this than at my fun card shop

I constantly wrestle with whether or not to share what Im having fun with when it comes to cards but darn it I just cant keep quiet about it anymore! So, Im occasionally going to share some of the ideas Ive come up with and you can use whatever you want to implement them and I wont hide the fact that I have an amazingly fun system that offers you tons of options when it comes to creating cards plus, its brilliantly cheaper than you typically see.

So got any good ideas yourself? What card might tickle your Mother the most? Give me a holler Id be happy to brainstorm with you. And if you might want to check out my system go HERE
