passion, my purpose! As a self-designated 'Ambassador of Play' I have a background as an Early Childhood
Educator, which included owning and operating a Childcare Home for 20 years, while
raising my three sons as a single parent. Having a couple of brothers and a couple of sisters as well as parents, all of whom I
adore, made that 'single' walk...anything BUT solitary -- and with only a few 'lumps
in the pudding' ;-) --we've had a blast! Today I'm branching out into the world of adults, bringing the message of the
children-- You CAN experience whatever you can Imagine!! ~~Abraham-Hicks 2003 My Vision: Amazing...Sunrise is as glorious as Sunset! I find it amusing that this never fails to
surprise me as I sit on the front porch of my perfect cottage overlooking the lake,
watching the play of light and shadow in the early dawn. I inhale deeply and am rewarded with the heady mixture of pine, flowering almond,
damp soil, and rich-roasted coffee -- Ahhh...life is GOOD! Suddenly the silence is broken by a couple of young Tree Walkers playing tag around
the nearby tree trunk and at the same moment a large Bluejay swoops down from
behind me, taking my breath away as I view the rich blue of the full spread of his
wings before he settles at the feeder down by the water. This pulls my attention
back to the lake and I notice the magnificent Bald Eagle has returned and is circling
above. How delightful to watch my world waking up! I feel the tingle of anticipation at being able to take the grandchildren (and anyone
else who wants to come along) for a paddle around the bend to see the Eagles
summer nest! I just found it yesterday and the female was sitting there and didn't
budge so I suspect she's sitting on eggs. What a treat to be able to watch as the
summer progresses...perhaps to catch the Eaglets at a flying lesson -- Why YES...
I absolutely will be there to see it! Ah...I hear a vehicle coming down the drive and get up to greet my wonderful
friend Karen who's stopping by to help me get food prepared for the many people
who will be arriving today. She's hasn't seen my new place yet and I hear her laughing
as she gets out of her car. "You ARE like Harold with his purple crayon! You just drew
this thing out of thin air, it's PERFECT!" I laugh with her as we wrap our arms around each other for a HUGE HUG as I say,
"And you haven't even been inside yet! You won't believe it...built-in bookshelves
on a wall in every room, a beautiful loft that the little ones will adore, huge windows
everywhere for lots of light, feels like being outside, and yet it's the log home I've
always dreamed of...even BETTER!" She inhales deeply and relishes with me the fresh morning air as we head arm in arm
into my new home for a tour of all the nooks, crannies and treats in store for all of us.
And the thrill of sharing my new playground has begun...I find I can hardly wait for my
sons and their families to arrive!! So happy I have my laughing friend there for chatting
and chopping -- 'cause sharing is one of the greatest joys of all! |
